Version 2026-08-26-draft-2

AI transparency

How Roost uses AI and what remains under your control.

Roost is an AI system

Roost uses a configured language model to propose source changes from your description. Suggestions can be inaccurate, insecure, biased or legally problematic.

Safety boundary

The agent receives a controlled working copy, not production secrets. New dependencies, secret files and disallowed paths are blocked. A version activates only after type checks, tests, build and a real browser check; otherwise the last working version remains.

Managed and your own key

Automatic mode chooses suitable models internally while the interface continues to present only Roost. BYOK can use your encrypted OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key for the selected provider. In either mode, prompts, selected source and verification feedback may be transferred to the provider. Provider, model and processing configuration are mandatory operational facts before production activation.

Your control

You can stop a build, restore a verified version, download source, and delete your provider key. Public publishing and AI asset generation remain disabled until separately approved for Release.

Repository-generated draft dated 26 August 2026. German is the intended authoritative version; professional review is required before paid Release.
